According to the Department of Labor, leisure and hospitality employment are at an all time high and are projected to increase 3% higher than the “all industry sector” over the next eight years. Increases in population, dual income families and dining sophistication will contribute to growth in the food industry. Additionally, hotel operations are becoming increasingly more complex, creating a demand for people with special skills obtained through education. Students graduating with a major in hospitality management will be prepared professionals, ready to enter an emergent job market.
